Federal Ministry of Youth Development – Following the approval of His Excellency, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and in line with youth empowerment programme thrust under the Transformation Agenda of Mr. President, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) in conjunction with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invite applications from suitably qualified young Nigerians to participate in the Junior Professional Officers’ Programme (JPO-P)

The Junior Professional Officers Programme (JPO-P) is a United Nations programme for recruitment of young people to work in the United Nations system for a period of one to two years which could be extended to the third year subject to satisfactory performance. The Programme provides the opportunity for young professionals from donor countries to gain value experience in development management and multi-lateral development cooperation on the international environment.

The recruitment of JPO is an annual exercise but based on the financial cycle of the donors. Decisions on sponsorship are made at the beginning of each year and the number of JPOs selected varies depending on the donor’s financial resources.
